Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP)

• Sub-contractor with Cayuga County Department of Health & Human Services
• Seasonal-starts in the Fall and ends in the Spring
• Based on household income
• Households not receiving public assistance or food stamps are seen by CCFL
• Appointments made for regular and emergency HEAP

• Benefits can go towards:
• gas & electric
• propane
• fuel oil
• kerosene
• coal, wood pellets or firewood
