4th Annual Empty Bowls Event

WHEN:              October 2010

WHERE:            Our Lady of Peace Parish Center

                          Center Street, Geneva

TIME:                5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

COST:                $20.00 per ticket for adults               

                           $5.00 per ticket for children (no bowl)

Cost includes soup, bread, beverage & dessert. Adults ticket holders receive a handmade ceramic bowl.

Empty Bowls began in a Michigan High School classroom and has become a popular event to raise awareness of the effects of hunger and food insecurity.  This event has also become a successful fund raising tool that provides essential financial support for helping people in need.  Participants walk away with a commemorative Empty Bowl that serves as a reminder that hunger does indeed exist in our community.  Bowls are being made by Geneva High School Students and Rochester Folk Art Guild.   Soup is being donated by Sodexho at Keuka College.

 Proceeds from the event will benefit the programs and services of

Catholic Charities of the Finger Lakes.  Please help us help others!
