Annual Empty Bowls Event

Hunger exists in our Community!

Catholic Charities of the Finger Lakes will be holding the Annual Empty Bowls in the Finger Lakes Region:

  • October 17, 2023 in Geneva
  • 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

  • October 24, 2023 in Auburn
  • 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

This unique evening of awareness will coincide with World Food Week.  We want you to be a part of this event and help us raise awareness and generate support for the most vulnerable children and families in Ontario, Seneca, Wayne, Yates and Cayuga counties.

Empty Bowls began in a Michigan High School classroom and has become a popular event to raise awareness to the effects of hunger and food insecurity.  This event has also become a successful fund-raising tool that provides needed financial support for food pantries across the Country.  Participants learn about local anti-poverty efforts and walk away with a commemorative Empty Bowl that serves as a reminder that hunger does indeed exist in our community.

We hope you will consider this worthy event.   All proceeds will benefit Catholic Charities of the Finger Lakes Programs.  Please help us help others!
